Letter to Parents 11th February

February 11th 2022

Dear Parents / Guardians

Thank you for all your support of your children and us this week and indeed over the half-term.

Students have worked very hard this term and we will be sending out 427 commendations based on the completion and submission of ‘personal best’ class and homework assignments.

We continue to emphasise to students the importance of kindness and simply enjoying being in school with their friends and this has become a theme of our ‘Family Friday’ sessions in Daily Tutor Time.

By way of reminder, we are beginning to work with University of Warwick to trial an online resource for parents/carers to help reduce depression and anxiety in young people. If you have a child in Years 7 – 10, please see:

Over the half-term holiday, please also encourage your daughter or son to choose a book from our Digital Library and to read for 20 minutes each day.

Since we returned in January we have had 260 students and 20 members of staff test positive for COVID-19: - 70 students and 2 more staff members since last Friday. Many of the students have been asymptomatic and identified by in school or home testing.

We continue to support and encourage students to wear face coverings in class and have reminded them that they still need to wear them on school transport for the moment.

Please see information about half-term Immunisation Clinics.

Please remember to have your child complete a Lateral Flow Test prior to their return to school on Tuesday, February 22nd and to keep ordering Lateral Flow Test Kits for you and all your family.

Order Rapid Lateral Flow Tests

We look forward to welcoming the children back to school.

Yours Sincerely,

Sonette Schwartz                                Charles Joseph
