Letter to Parents 20th March 2026

March 20th 2026

Dear Parents and students

Thank you so much as ever for all your support this week. Students and staff have supported each other and the reinforced hand hygiene measures we have put in place. We will maintain these next week.

Later this evening, we will send parents of Year 9 students information from the Immunisation Service about upcoming vaccinations.

These were scheduled and planned well in advance of the recent outbreak of meningitis in Kent and are completely unconnected with immunisation / anti-biotic treatments offered in schools or education settings, where there has been a positive test for meningitis.

Please remember, Thursday April 2nd is Parents’ online Subject Consultation Day for Years 11 & 13 with remote learning at home for all Year groups on that day.  There are no particular changes to announce but by way of reminder, here are our Term and Other Important Dates 2025 - 26

We have already written separately to parents of Year 11 and Year 13 students about bookings for the Consultation Day. Parents' Consultation Day Years 13 & 11 Information Letter March 18th 2026

Today, students have been fund raising for Comic Relief charities, which is testament to their commitment to improving the world. Comic Relief Assembly

In total since September excluding today, the student body has raised over £6600 for charities selected by the Student Council.

This week students have earned 3498 Excellent Effort Points for their hard work.

Separately, class teachers and Associates will next week be nominating students this week for our usual half-termly commendations recognising the submission of personal best class and homework assignments.

Here are Year 11 Revision Tips – Monday, March 16th    Year 13 Revision Tips – Monday, March 16th

We are planning revision packs for Years 11 and 13 for the Easter Holiday in advance of Public Examinations and structuring tasks in each subject over 10 days to help students organise their time and ensure enough time for relaxation and family / social activities.

Please ensure your child reads for 20 minutes daily and have them choose and read a second book this term from Digital Library – Spring Term 2025 - 26
