Letter to Parents 19th December 2025
December 19th 2025
Dear Parents and students
This last week of term has flown by. We are delighted to be sending letters of commendation to the parents of 586 students today for the submission of personal best class and homework assignments. Of the 586 students, 54 have been nominated by 3 or more of their teachers and their parents will also receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold Certificate of Commendation. In addition, teachers had awarded 2288 Excellent Effort Points this week by the beginning of school today.
On Tuesday this week, student volunteers supported Lympne Primary School with their Christmas Fair, running stalls and organising activities. Likewise, students from 7-13 have been supporting The Rotary Club with their Christmas Collection in Hythe High Street for charities such as The Salvation Army, Porchlight and The Rainbow Centre and have raised £862. This means we have raised in excess of £4000 for charities, both near and far since September. We are so proud of our students’ commitment to others and all the volunteering activities they carry out.
In Tuesday’s assembly, students shared in the successes of creative outputs from the Visual Arts Subject Areas. Equally, today’s Family Friday session we finished off the term with a Winter Safeguarding assembly and family Friday activities with a Christmas message from Mrs Eastham.
The Christmas Lunch on Wednesday was very well received by all over an extended lunchtime! The catering offer at Brockhill is one of which we can be really proud.
Yesterday and today, all Year Groups have enjoyed watching our fantastic Drama production – Polar Express - performed by a cast of nearly 100 students. Miss Gibbs and Mr Rogers have been working on this hit production with students since September.
For Year groups, who are sitting Public Examinations in the summer, we have set work in the Google Classroom for submission soon after the school holiday. Of course, we recognise the need for family time in the coming 2 weeks and the amount set by teachers reflects this. Students in Year 13 will begin their next round of Pre-public Examinations on Monday, January 19th with Years 11 starting on Tuesday, January 20th. Please see:

Have a lovely Christmas.
