Letter to Parents 7th November 2025
November 7th 2025
Dear Parents and Students
This week has simply flown by.
Students have undertaken Remembrance activities in their Daily Tutor Groups each morning this week and the Brockhill minute’s silence will be observed with a reading on Tuesday, November 11th at 11am. Students have been selling poppies for the Royal British Legion in local supermarkets most mornings this week.
Thank you for your contributions to the School Voluntary Fund following my appeal last week.
We have set the requested amount at £2 per month by standing order for each family to donate to enable all or nearly all families to respond.
Bank: Lloyds TSB
Account Name: Brockhill Park Performing Arts Voluntary Fund
Sort Code: 30-93-34
Account No: 02941356
This fund will allow us to continue to offer access to school trips, clubs and uniform for all.
For the payment reference, please just give your surname / donation. We will be so grateful for your support. Alternatively, you could make a single payment of £24 or take a cheque payable to Brockhill Park Performing Arts College to our school reception in a sealed envelope. Thank you!
This morning in our Family Friday session Academy Tutors started preparation for Children in Need Assembly
On Thursday 20 Years 11 and 12 Drama students watched the performance of and met members of the production team and actors from the cast of the play Three running at The Quarterhouse in Folkestone.
The cast was made up of neurodivergent actors, and our students were supportive throughout the performance, before distinguishing themselves with the quality of their questions after the performance.
Our Years 7 & 8 netball and Year 10 boys’ football team have all been in action this week, winning each of their fixtures against local schools.
Today, we are sending 476 Bronze, Silver or Gold commendation certificates to parents where their child was nominated by teachers for the submission of personal best assignments during the recent remote learning days:
Bronze = 4 teacher nominations - Silver = 5/6 teacher nominations - Gold = 7 + teacher nominations
We are sending a further 540 commendation letters to parents where their child was nominated by up to 3 teachers.
Please encourage your daughter or son to attend a Club Activity at least once a week. Please see Lunchtime Clubs listed on our website.
If your daughter or son is in Year 11, please see again our Sixth Form Open Evening Invitation Letter for next Tuesday.
Again today, we are sending simple SMS messages to parents if a student has not submitted homework, even after a deadline extension. Our homework durations aide memoir to teachers, sets out expectations for homework in each subject. In Examination Year Groups though, students who do not submit homework assignments will simply perform less well in Public Examinations. Your support is vital here.
We are grateful to our families for all their support getting their daughters and sons into school and ready to learn each day. This support is so vital and has enabled us to send 3066 Excellent Effort Points since Tuesday morning. A great note on which to end the week!
Have a lovely weekend.
Yours Sincerely,
Charles Joseph
