Letter to Parents 22nd March 2024

March 22nd 2024

Dear Parents and students

Thank you for all your support of the students and us over this past week.

This week students have earned 2260 Excellent Effort Points for their hard work.

Separately to this, class teachers and Learning Support Assistants have been nominating students this week for our usual half-termly commendations on the basis of the submission of personal best class and homework assignments.

We have also sent a number of Homework texts this week, where students have not submitted Homework assignments. Of course, it is perfectly possible to receive Excellent Effort Points and Homework texts in the same week, and even in the same subject! Please do keep a running check in which subjects your daughter or son is due to submit homework assignments.

Last Friday, students raised in excess of £1000 for Comic Relief charities, which is testament to their commitment to improving the world, which we all share. In total since September, the student body has raised over £8000 for charities selected by the Student Council.

This week, our A level English students have visited Stratford-upon-Avon to further their learning.

Elsewhere, Year 11 students attended a ‘mindset’ and planning day at Go Ape and as ever our sportswomen and men have excelled in football and basketball across the area and all Year Groups participated in Dodgeball in school today!

Next Thursday, March 28th is Parents’ online Subject Consultation Day for Years 11 & 13 with remote learning at home for all Year groups on that day.

If your daughter or son is in Years 11 or 13 and you have not yet booked appointments for Parents’ Consultation Day, please see

Parents' Subject Consultation Day - Years 13 & 11 Information Letter for Thursday, March 28th 2024

Here are this week’s             Year 11 Revision Tips                                   Year 13 Revision Tips

Please ensure your child reads for 20 minutes daily and have them choose and read a second book this term from Digital Library – Spring Term 2023 - 24  And please ask your daughter or son to return any overdue library books.

If your Year 8 child missed the recent HPV on February 28th and 29th the School Immunisation Service has asked we inform you, you can arrange this directly through them https://www.kentcht.nhs.uk/imms

Thank you so much as ever for all your support. It is always vital.

Have a restful weekend.

Yours sincerely,

Charles Joseph

Principal
