Year 12 Walking Talking Mock and Pre-public GCSE Practice Examinations June 2023

Dear Parents

From Thursday, June 22^nd  we are planning to give our Year 12 students examination experience in preparation for sitting A Levels at the end of Year 13.

Students will have the opportunity to sit Pre-public examinations based on real papers during this week. This activity will follow a previous in-class session where students are walked and talked through the exam (Walking, Talking Mocks).

Results from these practice examinations will then inform us as to how we can best help individual students in our teaching during July and then from September.

Through the next school year, we will aim to provide students with regular examination practice across their subjects, going through examination papers carefully after they have sat them. We will aim to ensure that students get significant practice within the real exam hall setting.

We will provide students with further information relating to the ‘Walking Talking Mock’ and June ‘Pre-public’ GCSE examination arrangements in class during the coming 2 weeks.
