Parents’ Consultation Day

Year 7 Friday, December 17^th

Dear Parents

Thank you for your support of the school and your daughter or son since they joined Brockhill. 

As per the school calendar and our letter of November 24^th, we will host a Parents’ Consultation Day consisting of 5 minute video appointments with subject teachers for Year 7 students on Friday, December 17th. We are very much looking forward to ‘seeing’ all our students with their parents for this first Parents’ Consultation Day, which will run remotely via the School Cloud system.

Very importantly also, parents and students will have the opportunity to meet with their Academy Guidance Manager to discuss their daughter or son’s daily school life:

Eden – Mr Dinsdale

Medway – Mrs Baker

Rother – Mrs Baldwin

Stour – Mrs Woods

In addition, for relevant parents there will be the opportunity to meet with our SENCO and Assistant SENCO, as well the Learning Support Assistants, who support students in classrooms or the Michael Palin Centre.

The appointments will give students and parents the opportunity to take stock of learning in school since September, as well as to discuss next steps to secure the best possible progress in the weeks in the weeks following Christmas and up to the end of this school year.

Bookings will open tomorrow, Friday at midday and remain open until Friday, December 9^th at 3pm. It may not be possible to book appointments thereafter.

Friday, December 17th will run with work set in Google Classroom for all students. Students should stick to their normal timetable (as far as appointments allow) and work on those tasks through the day and then submit all work at the end of the day. Teachers will also set Homework Assignments in Google Classroom as per the Homework Timetable. No online live lessons will take place with teachers. No student should attend school on Friday, December 17th.
