Letter to parents 8th July

July 8th 2020

Dear Parents

Thank you for your support with Home School today.

Please do check with your daughter or son that they are receiving work for all lessons every day and do let us know if this is not the case. Please also check the work your daughter or son is submitting, so they always submit work, which is of their best personal standard.

We are very keen for all students to attend all live ‘face-to-face’ lessons to which they are invited.

Last week we sent 463 commendations to students, who had received recommendations form 3 or more teachers. There are a number of students, who were recommended by 1 or 2 teachers and we would now like all students to redouble their efforts as we approach the end of term, so we can recognize others, who may have just missed out this time.

Thursday’s Tutor Time Activity is Careers.

We are planning Work Packs in each subject for students to complete over the summer holiday. These will be set out in a weekly format, so students can easily see what tasks they need to complete in a given week. We want all our students in all Year Groups to perform to the very best of their ability when resume in September. Maintaining good and regular study habits over the summer holiday will support them to do this.

We are also planning for full reopening in September and basing our planning around the recently published Gov.uk Guidance. Between now and the end of term we will provide you with details of our planning:

We are now getting ready for our socially distanced parents’ days for Years 10 & 12 over the 4 school days between Thursday, July 16th and Tuesday, July 21st and the Booking system is open.

Stay safe.

Yours sincerely
