Dear Parents and students

 

Students have earned 3033 Excellent Effort Points this week. I am proud of them and so grateful to families for their support.

Please remember, Thursday April 2nd is Parents’ online Subject Consultation Day for Years 11 & 13 with remote learning at home for all Year groups on that day. Term and Other Important Dates 2025 – 26

Teachers will post assignments for all lessons in the Google Classroom by 8.30am on Friday morning and students should follow their normal timetable for the day and submit their personal best assignments by the end of the day. We will seek nominations for commendation from teachers after the Easter holiday.

As we reach towards the end of term, students took a little time to relax in Academy Tutor Groups this morning: - Family Friday – Sudoku and Games

Please ensure your child reads for 20 minutes daily and choses a second book this term from Digital Library Spring Term 2025 - 26

This week has been busy with students Art, Photography and History A level students visiting the National Gallery and taking their own photographs in London’s Carnaby Street. Students from all Year Groups have made recordings about WW2 evacuees for an exhibition in Hythe library, and our Sixth Formers attended the Youth Forum at the Folkestone Civic Centre. And today, 70 Year 13 students are on their final day out together at Thorpe Park!

Year 11 Easter school is running Tuesday, April 7th to Thursday, April 9th. This will be an opportunity for students to go over key knowledge and skills needed for the exams, which begin shortly after we return. If you have not yet signed up and would like a space, please follow the link provided in the Easter school letter that was sent on Friday, March13th. We also held an assembly with year 11 earlier this week, where we spoke about the importance of the Easter holidays in terms of preparation for the exam season, using the materials provided by their subject teachers.                 Assembly – For Parents.

 

Easter School for Year 13 students from Tuesday, April 7th to Thursday, April 9th 2026 will provide focused revision delivered by our staff.  If you have not yet signed your son or daughter up for this please follow this link. This is an opportunity to consolidate learning and refine study skills.  We also discussed revision planning over the Easter break in Thursday's assembly and a copy of the presentation is included here.  for your attention.

We will be making the full range of revision materials available to students and parents in the coming week.
