Letter to Parents 2nd May 2025
May 2nd 2025
Dear Parents and students
Thank you for all your support this week.
By 1.30pm today, students had earned 2339 Excellent Effort Points for submission of personal best home- or classwork assignments. Behind each one of these pieces of good news lies a story of parental love and support.
This week has been a wonderful week both in and beyond the classroom.
Our A level Geography students spent the week in Iceland with their teachers, Ms Liddelow and Mr Hedges leading their fieldwork.
On Wednesday, 8 Year 9 students again participated in the Sport England Golfing Programme at Saltwood Golf Club, whilst our Years 8 & 9 Girls’ Basketball teams were losing semi finalists in Ashford. I am so proud of their efforts and for getting so far.
On Thursday, our Young Farmers showed their animals and hosted activities for primary school children at the Kent County Agricultural Society’s Living Land Day. Our Sports Leaders have been active too, attending a Gladiator Event at 3 Hills and trying their hand at Paralympian sports and attending a Boccia England event and running a Bowls tournament for Dementia Awareness, Hythe. Elsewhere, 10 Brockhill students painted the Hythe Bay Primary School’s fence. Our Brockhill volunteers lead the way with Care, Courtesy and Consideration at school and outside in the wider community. Please take a quick look at our Tuesday online assembly from Ms Allen:

Our former History teacher, Mr Zintel-Warner continues his 2 year round the world cycling journey in support of Great Ormond Hospital. We are following his progress and through this gaining a wider ‘window on the world’ as well as engaging our students in the wonderful work Great Ormond Street does for children and their families. Mr Zintel-Warner has now reached Australia.
