Letter to Parents 1st March

March 1st 2023

Dear Parents,

I am writing to you following my earlier letters about strike action by the National Education Union tomorrow, Thursday, March 2nd.

Tomorrow, assignments will be set in Google Classroom for students in Years 7 – 10 as per your child’s timetable by teachers, who are not taking industrial action.

Where teachers are taking industrial action and work is not set in Google Classroom for your child, they should make use of subject related resources and online lessons in their subjects available on:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/secondary

or from the full list of resources on this link:

Electronic Resources Leaflet and Password Sheet

Please speak to your daughter or son about the importance of doing their best and following their timetable for the day in these circumstances.  I did so myself at the end of January, and a reminder from you will be very helpful.

Years 11 – 13 students should attend school as per the arrangements set out in my letter of last Friday, February 24th.

Thank you all for your support of your children and the school, as well as your understanding of the current situation.

Again, I wish Government and Union representatives well in seeking and hopefully finding agreement in advance of Wednesday, March 15th and Thursday, March 16th.

Yours sincerely,

Charles Joseph

Principal
