Letter to Parents - January 2017
Dear Parent / Guardian
I am writing to wish you all a Happy New Year and to thank you all for your support so far this year. The attendance at parents’ evening has been good and we are delighted that you support us in this manner.
We welcomed four members of staff this term; Ms Haikonen – Geography; Mr Hasty – English; Mrs Baker – Cover Supervisor and Mr Gurung – Site Manager. I am sure that they will be very happy at this school.
Please ensure that your son/daughter attends school appropriately equipped and ready to learn. All school bags need to be of a large enough size to hold homework and equipment. Students are expected to carry a reading book with them to read during quiet times. Channel Uniforms stock a school bag with our logo on if parents are interested.
I am always delighted to meet with parents who have concerns. To this effect I run surgeries for parents on Wednesday afternoons. Please ring the school to make an appointment. We try to meet with and support parents where possible, please always ring the school and make an appointment to see a member of staff as we don’t routinely see parents without appointments.
In conjunction with the education charity Future First, we have set up an alumni network. We are looking to connect with our former students, whether they left last year or twenty years ago. If you are a past pupil or know of any who’d like to give something back to their old school, or even just stay in touch with us, then all you need to do is get them to sign up at:
Please inform us of any changes to your child’s medical needs and any changes of address or telephone numbers.
