Letter to parents 18th March

March 18th 2020

Dear Parents

We have written previously stating that we will adhere to and not anticipate DFE Guidance for educational settings:

Following the Prime Minister’s statement the Guidance will clearly change and the link will be updated overnight. This is published to you and the school at the same time.

For some time we have been planning steps we would take to support students and their parents in the event of closure or partial closure. We will remain fully open for all students until the end of Friday and thereafter from Monday next week will offer provision for children of key workers and students who may be vulnerable.

We are fully aware we are part of a highly interdependent society and we are conscious of our role and responsibility to parents whose employment and income might be threatened if they have to assume childcare responsibilities for our students. Equally, any closure cannot impact on the work of the Emergency Services or other very important key workers and this is fully reflected in the Prime Minister’s statement.

Tomorrow we will offer parents of these students the option to send their children to school and outline the programme we will offer for them.

We will contact you with further details at the end of the school day tomorrow, Thursday March 19th.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Yours sincerely

Sonette Schwartz  -  Principal
