Letter to Parents 24th March

24th March

Dear Parents and students

Thank you for all your support of your daughters and sons this week.

We have sent 1155 electronic merit point messages in this first week to parents of students, where teachers have recognised they are completing their personal best home or classwork.

Separately to this, we will send out our usual half-termly commendation letters and certificates to parents at the end of term.

On Monday, our Sixth Form Government and politics students, visited the Houses of Parliament, where they were welcomed by Damian Collins MP for Folkestone & Hythe.

Students in Years 7, 8 & 9 have represented Brockhill in Netball and Basketball matches against other local schools. The teams were highly successful, and we are proud of them for their performances and victories! Most of all though, we are proud of the students’ engagement and commitment and thank them for this!

Elsewhere, students have participated in volunteering activities with the Hythe Environmental Community Group (hedge trimming and land maintenance) and welcomed the Dementia Awareness Society to a coffee morning in our school library. Years 8 & 9 students have also welcomed a visiting school group from France, whilst others have supported with reading in local primary schools.

Please have your daughter or son choose a book – hopefully at least their second this term - to read for 20 minutes daily, from Digital Library Spring Term 2023

Next Friday, March 31st is Parents’ Subject Consultation Day for Years 11 & 13 with remote learning for all Year groups on that day.

If your daughter or son is in Years 11 or 13 and you have not yet booked appointments for Parents’ Consultation Day, please see

Parents' Consultation Day - Years 13 & 11 Information Letter March 20th 2023

Have a lovely weekend. We will look forward to welcoming students back to school on Monday for the final week of this spring term.

Yours sincerely,

Charles Joseph

Principal
