Brockhill English grades improve by 30%
Brockhill Park Performing Arts College has completed an amazing achievement by reaching 71% C and above in an last summer’s results. We interviewed English teacher Miss Humphries, we asked her what she thought about the grades, this is what she said:
“The staff all pulled together to get the grades that we did by talking to each other. Also, the students made it easier by working hard throughout the year and worked to the best of their abilities. Target setting helped in the way that the students know where they were they were at and know how to improve to then go on and get the grades that they got. We’re very pleased with this year but there is still room for improvement because 70% got C’s or above so that leaves a big 30% of students to improve on in the year coming, so there is still plenty of work to do.”
This result was a record accomplishment for Brockhill. Most schools only move up 1 or 2% a year but we moved from 41% to 71%. The 30% raise in attainment was a result of how much the teachers put in and how much the students put in. I think that we did amazing in the exam but we still only have 30% to go and I think that this school can do it.
