BBC school report is the one chance for Year 9 Brockhill media students to step into the life of a BBC news reporter for one day. They have articles to write and deadlines to meet. Their deadline for this challenging task is Thursday 11 March 2010 at 2 o’clock sharp. Media students taking part in this major event must have all of their reports uploaded onto the BBC website by the deadline. Brockhill is one of the few privileged schools that have been offered this great opportunity to take part in BBC School Report.

The event will see the launch of the Performing Arts College’s brand new radio studio, set up by ex-student Jacob Rickard who now presents a weekly show on BBC Radio Kent. Miss Hawkes, head of Media Studies, has spoken to members of our School Report team and she said ‘this is a fantastic opportunity for our Year 9 students to get a real flavour of what it’s like to work in the media industry.
