Letter to parents 22nd June

June 22nd 2020

Dear Parents

Thank you for your support with Home School today.

This week we will continue to step up the number of live lessons to ensure ‘face-to-face’ contact between students and their teachers in all Year Groups, and we are very keen that all students attend all lessons to which they are invited.

Please do check with your daughter or son that they are receiving work for all lessons every day and do let us know if this is not the case. Sometimes invitations go into Junk Boxes, or students can become unenrolled from their class. Sometimes, a student may intentionally unenrol themselves from a class and so not receive work in Google Classroom or a Webex invitation to join a lesson.

We hope you enjoy this week’s Brockhill Family Fun Fitness.

Tomorrow’s Tutor Time Activity is Numeracy. The activities are fun and engaging for students and families.

We will be asking Tutors to nominate students for their commitment to Tutor time activities during this week and then next week beginning Monday, June 29th, we will be asking subject teachers to nominate students for their commitment and effort in subject live lessons and Google classroom assignments. We are very keen to recognize the effort and achievements of all our students, in order to celebrate their successes and resilience.

We hope youreceived your weekly Guardian Summary email about work carried out by your daughter or son in Google Classroom. If not please do contact us and we will help with the setup.

We are now planning to hold socially distanced parents’ days for Years 10 & 12 over the 4 school days between Thursday, July 16th and Tuesday, July 21st. These will consist of the usual parents’ evening style meetings with subject teachers but spread across the whole site to ensure everybody’s safety. We will let you know more about these events during the week commencing Monday, June 29th.

Stay safe.

Yours sincerely

Sonette Schwartz                                    Charles Joseph
